Kara is a Lilliputian girl who lives with her parents in an old doll house, hidden away in the back of a forgotten shed. Isolated her entire life, she has few Lilliputian friends her own age, and even less experience with the world around her. Everything she knows had been taught to her by her parents, or acquired firsthand. Kara's life is stable, predictable, and boring.

Everything changes when a new human family moves into the big house. Suddenly Kara's father wants to pack up and move everything, Kara's mother reveals a huge secret, and Kara sets out on the biggest adventure of her life. Will Kara make a new friend? Or is there something darker, and possibly more dangerous, waiting for her?
